Public Procurement Manager

Enter a growing organisation where improvement processes are paramount. Together we go for streamlined, high-quality procurement processes. A role with considerable impact on strategies and new procedures. Enjoy professional growth along with a great deal of autonomy.

A streamlined procurement policy

As the person responsible for procurement, you support colleagues in purchasing decisions, from selecting the relevant procedure to negotiations with suppliers. You advise, devise strategies and always ensure compliance with relevant regulation(s). You value regular and transparent communication with internal customers. Collaboration with our business is key.

Providing customer-friendly support

  • You pay close attention to each and every procurement file, analyse needs and provide support for market research or whenever people have questions.
  • You demonstrate your commitment by improving efficiency, optimising costs and adding value. You enjoy analysing detailed reports and help set priorities in our continuous improvement approach. You simplify processes with well-considered decisions.
  • You like to share your ideas and initiate carefully planned steps towards new long-term procurement strategies. Together with the CFO, you develop and implement a strategic procurement policy and anticipate financial challenges.
  • You demonstrate the correct preparation of specifications, contract documents and internal decision-making documents. You enrich your expertise by attending training courses. You also establish contacts with external experts for exchanging knowledge.

"Working in our context is nice. It is dynamic. A growing company. You have the chance to help shape our way of working", says Pieter-Jan. Pieter-Jan, R&D project controller (Finance).

This is what you bring along

  • Diploma and experience: You’ve obtained at least a bachelor's degree. You now deliberately go for a financial administrative role. In this role, you can offer quality. You know this from previous work experiences lasting at least two years, during which you frequently dealt with large procurement dossiers or tenders.
  • Ambition for quality: You like the challenge of launching and following up on improvement processes to improve the management of each process. You enjoy working autonomously and like setting your own priorities.
  • Eagerness to learn and potential: You show potential when it comes to negotiation skills and people management. You are interested in learning more about public procurement legislation. Naturally, you are also a fan of supplier contacts and contract management.
  • Strong with texts and figures: You have the ability to read detailed texts critically and analyse them thoroughly, both in Dutch and in English. You are digitally strong, at least an expert user of MS Office applications. For strategic decisions, you are adept at reading and interpreting reports and figures.
